School of Sharia and Islamic Studies is the first School to be established at Islamic University of Kenya. It started in the year 2001 to offer Arabic course for beginners (Tamheed); It commenced offering degree programmes in Sharia and Islamic Studies in the year 2004, in collaboration with the International University of Africa (IUA), Sudan.
